bilstein 5100's??

bilstein 5100's??

My local shop put these on my 05 f150 but didnt adjust them because they said they you cant adjust shocks. The more and more im reading on this site says that you can put them on a 2 in lift setting? what should i do i want the extra 2 in....i have a 6in procomp lift on it also..thanks

What is the part # for your shock? Or can you take a picture of where it mounts to the lower spring perch.

Just want to make sure you have the right shock before we burn down the shop.

haha good idea. i cant take a picture b/c i wont be home for a couple weeks but is the part number located on the actual shock? so i could juist look at it

I'm not sure. You should at least be able to see the ring (indention on the lower part of the shock body) where the spring perch would sit for lifted applications.

there silver and yes there is a black ring on the shock. Theres another level where you could put the ring to.

Does anyone have nay suggestions as to what i should do? i really need the extra two inches for the tires i bought..

beat your mechanic over the head for being a dumb *** and make him swap the rings to the higher position.

the part number you're looking for is BE5-C298-H0...or H1.

it should be easily seen on a label close to the bottom of the shock where it bolts to the lower control arm. my 5100's came pre-configured for the 2" position out of the box, but there are two more grooves in the shock that you can swap the rings to.

Yea i definitely have the adjustables then..i tried to get the guy to call bilstein but he was so stubborn he wouldnt listen to me. Probably because im only 19. but thanks for the help guys ill try and get them to adjust them, hopefully for no charge.
