rize lift

looking at a truck with a rize lift and even though it has 35" toyos on it it looks like it still cant do much off roading it looks to me like axles are down in stock place and all that stuff in the front is it really needed my be i am wrong so if you have a rize and use it off road please let me know how you like it thanks and do you guys think 19,000 for a 04 with 177k on it is a little steep?

I think that it is a lot steep! Does it actually have a Rize or just spacers and Rize stickers? Look on KBB.com or NADA.com That is a lot of money for a truck with that many miles.

I think it is a lot steep. Generally aftermarket stuff does not add to the value of the truck because most people do not want a vehicle that may have been beaten on. That is a ton of miles on a truck, plus how many were hard wit that kind of a lift on there. My '04 FX4 was under 12k with 39k miles on it, so stock and that i what old me. I would stay away from that truck. Sounds like the current owner believes he has more than he really does.

blueovelboy,

177K is way too many miles to have on an '04. I wouldn't buy that truck for any price. If you can afford $19K for a used truck, then you can afford a new truck.

the only way to actually gain ground clearance is with bigger tires not the lift itself. since it only has 35's i am assuming that it has a 6" lift kit. keep in mind that the stock tires are 31's so you only actually added 4 inches of tire therefore not actually gaining much ground clearance. most guys on the site with lift kits have a 6" and a lot of them go offroad you just have to use some common sense. as far as the price that sounds really high. i will sell you my 05 supercrew with only 32k for that price.

as noted, true ground clearance is only attained via bolting on oversized tires. think about it, if you pull the tires off your axles, and let them stand freely, where will they be resting? on the ground! going from a 32'' to a 35'' tire is a 3'' increase in tire sidewall, and therefore, a 1.5'' increase in ground clearance. going from a 32'' to a 37'' tire would net you 2.5'' under the axles.

i agree with minimonster the only way to acheive true ground clearence is by bigger tires, and i have a rize and i cant say anything but good things about it....its probably the only thing on my truck that i havent replaced lmao...ive gone through a motor, tranny, rear axle, new interior, windows, etc ive beaten my truck up

This summer, I bought my 2006 Stage 3 Roush F150 for $20K with 35K miles (on eBay!). Therefore, I agree that you would be paying too much.
