Question for 5100 series owners....

I've had these installed since Saturday on the 2" setting and they're awesome. I have one question though. does anyone notice a "clunk" when going over speed bumps in parking lots on the downside of the speed bump? if i go over it nice and easy, it doesn't do it. if i let off the brake, and let the truck go over it by itself, it almost sounds like the shocks are extending themselves to max extension. i don't think it's hitting the upper bump stop as the front of the truck barely moves. no other complaints other than that. thanks.

Did you get everything tightened back up? I had a similar noise and one of my sway bar nuts was loose.

I would give it a good once over. Mine doesn't make any extra noise now.

Ride is improved 100%, but that's comparing new shocks with completely worn out old ones. They stockers wouldn't rebound once compressed if that tells you anything. I don't have any photos yet, but I've been meaning to take some.

I also have a "clunking" noise while going over speed bumps. Please keep me updated if you find anything out. It is driving me crazy hearing that noise all the time.

No issues here.
I suppose it could be topping out, but I would be surprised. I haven't actually measured how much downtravel they have from ride height.

i don't think it's bottoming or topping out but i could be wrong. i'm not hitting the speed bump very fast, i'm just not controlling the descent with the brake as i go over it. i need to take the truck back soon to have it realigned since they didn't get my steering wheel straight. while it's on the rack, i'll see if they can check for loose components.

I had the same problem when i put my 2.5" daystar leveling kit on my 04 fx4 and i figured out my control arm was hitting my coil spring.
