Lower suspension
Lower suspension
I want to lower my truck about maybe 3-4 in the front and maybe 4-5 in the rear. I plan to use about 31.5" tall tires so I want the front wheel wells to be near the top of the tire.
Anyway I see alot of lowering kits, but I want more then just to lower the truck, I want to see if I can help with my traction problems too. So I guess I'm looking more towards a sport suspension rather then just lowering kit.
Any help is much appricated!

Anything more than a 2" drop in the front and you'll need an alignment kit. 5" drop in the rear and you'll be bottoming out all the time unless you have helper bags.
Eibach makes a good kit, as does Ground Force.

Are there alignment issues with using 3" drop spindles instead of new coils/shocks? Also, for a 5" drop in the back, wouldn't a flip kit with the shorter bump stops prevent most of the incidental bottoming outs?
I was pondering a 3/5 drop as well (and have seen Arca's thread with his 3/5 and bag assist install) and figure the spindles and flip kit would be the easiest - albeit more expensive - method to attain this, and eventually would do the bags as I tow my boat around in the summer. Am I missing an important step or trick?

Actually now im looking at the ground force kit 9944 where it comes with shocks and everything. It looks like a real good kit.

NTXRockr, if you need help installing stuff be sure to give me a shout.
3/5 is low but do able. Im 3/5 right now and headed lower soon. I will be spending atleast another 1,000 bucks to drop another inch, because im basically having to redo my whole suspension.
I would recommend the Eibach 2/4 that stealth has. Its a very thorough kit and top notch quality.
