Whats the best 2wd Lift thats functional
don't let them scare you away from getting 2-3k. i paid for my lift, wheels, tires, exhaust, tint, programmer, intake and some other junk. i have about 5500 in my truck, and just sold my dirtbike (which i paid for myself, about 6500). you can make the money if you really want it. just work hard and keep good grades to keep your parents happy. i worked about 20-25 hrs a week during highschool, parents did pay for insurance and helped with gas so that helped alot.
how big do you want your truck? if you only want 33's i would buy a leveling kit (probly about 50 bucks for your truck) and install a BL yourself. you would probly spend about $350 for that. then lock the rear end, not sure how much that would be. but i bet you could get away with spending about $1250-$1300 before tires

Where did you find that? I have looked at their website and it only shows leveling springs? I have a 2" level from Daystar, I would like to use with a 3" spindle lift and add a 2" block to the rear. For a nice 4" lift or so. can you direct me to where you found the 3" lift spindles for out 97-03 2wd F150's?

hell just go ahead and do everything while you're at it. Balljoints, tie rods, pitman/idler arms if you need to. Basically everything you can before you take it in to get an alignment after putting the lift + new tires on. That way it'll look good and drive new.
I wheeled my truck at stock height and open diff with only a set of 32" bfg ats and did just fine. I was much more cautious about what i would go in and how steep of a hill i could make it up but i had a ton of fun with it. Low tire pressure and momentum will get you through more than you would think.
Your truck sits exactly how I want mine to sit. I go hunting/fishing a lot and some of the trails require a little more ground clearance than my level kit provides. The truck has no problems getting to my offroad destinations other than scraping the front and rear bumper at some spots. A few more inches of lift, and it would be perfect. Thanks to the pictures in your album, im ordering it this next week. Thanks. Looks like installation is a piece of cake too. Balljoints and pitman arms will definately need to be replaced, and it is in the plans. Thanks guys, you are awesome.
Exactly, I didn't want a 6" lift, because that is just too much, and the tires that I would have to buy with that big of a lift would be expensive! I just got these 33's and they are a little big for just the level kit, but should look perfect once I get it up a few more inches. Thanks again. I'm stoked.
Ok, just kinda skimmed over the thread and if anybody needs this info...I have a 1999 2WD F150 with the fabtech 7.5" lift with 315/75/16 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws with ProComp (6089)? Chrome rims..I've taken mine offroading before and the susp. kit works great..throw in a diffy locker in the back and your set..I keep mine pretty clean though. I got all my stuff through 4wheelparts.com but my truck is posted on rockymountainsusp.com for anybody that wants to see it. I also have 2 albums posted on here...hope I can help anybody lookin to lift their 2WD!!
