Ground Force Drop Shackles Installed!

Well I got up this morning and begged my wife to give me my Christmas Present early. Ground Force Drop Shackles. Just finished the install took 2.5Hours with air tools. I did'nt remove the wheels. I did unbolt the shocks. Putting in the shims was easy due to the air tools. hardest part was getting the *** end high enough to get the axle off the ground with the rear wheels still on. I ended up jacking it up from the hitch with a drop receiver hitch in it. It was pretty harry. I'd recommend making sure you have a big floor jack that will raise at least 18" And some big blocks of wood. Make sure you chock the wheels. You'll need a second jack to lift the axle off of the leaf springs. I used jack stands for safety, but I still left my floor jack under the hitch until i was done. I'm real happy with the result. my wife says she doesnt see the difference but I sure do! Now I'm off to find a muffler shop as i could'nt get that done until the drop was in.

Mine came in yesterday, I though about doing them today but now that I see how high you had to get I may take it to my bro-in-laws since he has a lift. Just quickly looking at mine first question came to mind was is it hard to take the stock shackle bolts out since the heads face the frame, what is the trick? I also noticed the ends are hexed...?

Remove the one end then you can move the leaf to where the bolt that faces the frame can be removed. Once you get under there with it loose you'll see. The ends are hexed for ease of use as well as they're easier to align that way.

Rather than have 10k threads on this I figured I would add mine here;

After:

(Sorry, it was cloudy here today)

Test ride proved rides better and seems to handle better too, IMHO.
Well worth the money and effort, I like the slight rake and it will work well with future wheel/tire upgrade.
