Ball joints

My tires have been wearing out uneven in the front, took it to a shop and they said it was my upper balljoints, cost to fix is $690 They told me that you cant get the balljoints by themselves and that they came with new stock a-arms, bushings, uper and lower balljoints etc. Is this true? Since it cost 690 bucks to fix i was thinking of upgrading my suspension. i have 3.5 fabtech spindle lift w/ replacement shocks, do they have something i can add on to maybe get rid of or replace the ball joints?

Yes, the upper ball joint and a-arm is a one piece assembly. While the suspension is apart, I'd add a set of Daystar coilspring spacers and a set of adjustable camber bolts. I think a couple companies (Total Caous or Camburg?) make a replacement upper control arm with a uniball instead of a ball joint.

I know that with the coil spacers i will have to get new coils, but do they also add more lift? and what are adjustable camber bolts for? i havent heard of them or what they are used for, so i would like some info.

THey just allow a larger range of camber adjustment on our trucks. They replace the oem bolts that mount the control arms to the frame.
