Quick, probably stupid, question. AS leveling kit.

How do you measure it to see what size it is?

I ordered a 2" AS level kit off ebay a couple weeks ago. Everything was a-ok. So i'm getting all my stuff(wheels, tires, level kit ) together right now for a 9:00 am appointment tomorrow to get it all installed. When i notice the AS box says 2 1/2". Written in hand so thought maybe they marked it wrong. Check the order form in the box. It also says 2 1/2". Now i'm getting pissed. So I measure it. Steal plate to steal plate. Measures a little less then 2". So i'm guessing it IS a 2" kit. Is that how they measure them? Or do they measure from steal plate to the end of the bolt threads? Which is about 2 1/2".

Please tell me its the former. :o

i think the spacer isnt a full 2.5" tall but it gives you 2.5" of lift, from what it sounds like looks like they sent you the wrong one

So wouldnt it be the correct one then? Heres a pic. It measures 1 and 11/16ths plate to plate. That would be what they call a 2" level right?

I think you have the AS 2.5 that measures out as 1 5/8ths. Don't quote me on that but I believe you may have the 2.5 AS.

Yup my bad - here's the info from Autospring's installation write-up.

AS 2" is 1 5/8 and AS 2.5" is 1 3/4.

http://www.autospringcorp.com/produc...expedition.htm

At the bottom of this page is a PDF document. At the top it shows the 2 different sizes.

Post pics when you are done, ordering mine Tuesday night.
