Gettin Rid Of The Spacer!!

If i order this 5100's made for the front with a 6in. lift, can i throw the 6in spacer out? And if so, could i put a levelin kit on the new shocks and run 37's?

What about the the adjustable bilstein shocks that is the same thing as a leveling kit? Get those and get the added 2 inches up front and prob just save as much money then getting new 6inch shocks and then a leveling kit. See what im saying?

I see your point, but I don't know if they make a six inch longer version other than the expensive ones with the threaded bodies.

I thought some of the guys on here already have a 6inch lift and then adding the adjustable shocks to get the added 2" up front and the ride quality instead of having to get a leveling kit.

i think they are keeping their spacer, leveling shocks set at 2" with 6" spacer to get 8"

So im guessing that its only the people with the pro comp lifts are getting the adjustable bilstein shocks And the guys that are stock?

well any lift kit that uses a spacer can get the 2 inches with the bilsteins...pro comp/rough country/rize you could swap out the stock spacer for the 6 inch version of the bilsteins and then put a leveling kit on top of that. i would just do the spacer and the bilsteins, been proven to work on a lot of trucks running 37's with a 6+2. if money aint an issue just get coilovers from procomp/fabtech and crank those, look badass, or if $$$ don't matter get kings

I have researched this one. Just waiting for the new year to get it done. Bilstein makes the 6" series wich you can further adjust for 8" if you want the ball joints to look freeky. There is a thred here somewhere with pics from a member who did what you are asking for. No need for the 1-2" leveling kit. Just crank away.
