Can you lift an AWD???? (Limited)

I have been going around to local shops asking about a lift for an 08 Limited. So far all of the shops say you can not do a lift because the drive train angles are so critical with the AWD set up that you will blow up the transfer cases in no time. Any opinions on this? So does that mean a suspension lift is out but I could still get away with a 2 inch level kit? Some factual evidence on this would be great. Thanks guys.

I figured in today's day and age an AWD can be lifted without any mechanical issues.

I agree. I've seen several lifted AWD Harley trucks.

Scroll down some for the pictures. That's with a Rize lift.

There's one on ebay

This may be 2WD, I thought they were all AWD.
I have seen others but am not finding them right now.

Thanks. I would be content with leveling it off, and I can't see why that option would be a problem.
