Question lowering help

I have a 2006 2wd f150 with 22 in rims and 305/40/22 tires im thinking about lowering the rear of the truck 2" with groundforce Shackles for now. Does anyone know if it handles good after that. And also later down the road im thinking about getting a 2/4 lowering kit or 2/5 an what brand? what would be better to make it look nice and even but also getting good ride cus i hear lowering your truck makes it bounce alot so im kinda scared of getting one an it makes my truck crappy.

Lowering shackles won't change the ride or handling.

I have the Ford Racing / Ground Force 2/5 kit on my '07 Harley:

I did end up putting shorter bump stops in.

The ride did get a little stiffer. There's a friend of mine over on NHTOC that had the same setup as mine and ended up going with 4” drop Belltech leafs & 2/3 drop shackles for the rear and says the ride quality is much better!

shackles will make the rear a little softer.

If you are planning on going lower, do it all at once, dont do it in stages. It costs more, and you will have duplicate parts.

If you want to come out to ATX I can help you put your kit on your truck

Yup, that's the wifes '07 Dark Amethyst All Wheel Drive in the drive way. That's next to be lowered. I'll be doing the 3/5 drop on that which should bring it to within 2" of how low mine is. We liked mine so much she traded her car in for hers!
