2" AS level kit

Ok, I've purchased the tires, and hopefully later today or tomorrow, will have purchased the wheels.

Now I need the AS leveling kit. Been looking at ebay and found 2 "different" ones.

Ones Painted for $75 . And the other is Powdercoated for $85 .

Is the different coating really worth the extra $10?

Also, 2" is good right? Or should i go with the 2.5"? And why?

I have a '08 2x4 STX.

Thanks in advance.

If you want a level truck go with the 2.5. If you tow alot or haul then go with the 2". I have a 07 2wd and went with the 2.5 autosprings based on the recommendations of alot of members of this forum and it turned out great.

You probably won't need the powder coated leveler in Texas. But, up here in Michigan where we salt the roads in winter, I figured the powder coated unit was the best way to go.

The taller the spacer, the more severe the ball joint angles. The shorter the spacer, the better the ball joint angles.

This is how it looks with a Fabtech Dirt Logic Coilover.

04-06 usually look good with 2.5" 06-08 usually look good with 2". IMO, Most of the leveled trucks i see are like this. I have a 04 with 2.5", Its level.

Good choice going with the 2". 2.5" would have been too much.

I have an 07 FX4 and I went with a 2" AS. My front wheel well opening is about 1/2" higher than the rear wheel well, but the running boards are perfectly level.

I think you made a good choice.
