Pro Comp I vs II?? Whatsa the diff?

Whats the difference in these two lifts? I have a 6' lift ,05 fx4 the truck has procomp tires and rims so I figure that thats what type of lift it is, bought the truck wrecked a year ago for 9K has 22k miles on it, spent 8k fixing it back up all body damage no frame damage. Getting 15 miles a gallon on 35s. I was wanting to know how I can tell the difference, b\c if its the cheap street one some of you guys talk about I might need to go with some a\ts next time but if its the better one maybe some more m/t or heck maybe some swampers ..I do live in Alabama...Synard song..lol

Well it has coilovers so I guess its the stage two. Does your at/s ride good? Roar? I have pro extreme m/ts and they are louder than my thornbirds on my farm truck.

Could you take a pic of your coilovers?

Edit: From what little I can see of your coilovers, they look stock, meaning you have the Stage I.

ya, no matter which stage, you have coilovers. Factory comes with coilovers.

Stage II has brand new, adjustable coils. I think the company is MSX6 or something similiar. If ya take pics, we can tell ya real quick.

Also snap a pic of that front cross member, from what little I can see, it looks pro-comp, but I run pro comp wheels, pro comp tires, and a Fabtech lift, so tires/wheels has little to do with it all.

Also, I am running the pro-comp extreme m/t's and love them. Just took a 10 hour drive one way to vegas on em (and then back). They do roar pretty loud (thornbirds are quiet compared to many tires, and are generally considered crap... just FYI). If your looking for a "look" but want it car quiet, look into the Toyo's or cooper tires. They have an aggressive look, with quiet street performance. If ya want something that will get you through the slop, its gunna be loud. Kinda the trade off with tires. Maybe look into a Pro-comp extreme a/t . Good performance both on and off road. Hope this helps ya some.

you know what i meant. The branding on the shocks itself, is MX-6 for the rear and MX-2.75 up front IIRC. It doesn't say "Pro-Comp" on the shocks.

Kinda like how Fabtech sells Dirt Logic shocks...

Hot damn, who gives a **** ??

He obviously doesn't have much of an idea about his lift. I am trying to keep it simple, to help him figure **** out. Go blow a goat.

I'm pretty sure the pic will help him more than what you think it says on the coilovers. Isn't that the whole point of this thread? Pictures are simple and worth 1,000 "thinks".

You'll have to talk to Raoul about the goats.

meh, not heated. I don't really care. That fomo (never caught that one.... fomo... ) guy is pretty cool. He is fawkin with me, so I return the favor

Pretty sure he understands no harm. All in fun

And the infamous elusive goat has yet to be seen, at least for the last few years.

Ya, good point. But a pic of the entire coilover setup would help even better. Got one of those ??

And its not what I "think" but what the company says. They list them as MX shocks.... and no MX writting on it anywhere ?? Someone dropped the ball on that one. I have installed a pro-comp lift too.... obviously didn't pay much attention !

Raoul !! Thats where the goat is ! chit man, almost forgot.
