Lowering shocks

I would like to lower my rear shocks. I heard that shocks are the cheap way to lower your truck. I want to lower the back to be level with the front. I dont want all those doodads just a simple look. Any suggestions? I hear DJM makes a pretty good shock. Oh, too I want to have a decent ride without making noise or anything. Coil shocks? 2",4",6" lower?

you'll need a 2" drop shackle to get the rear level with the front

Right. The rear shocks do not support any weight so changing them will not change your ride height. They are not a coilover shock like the front shocks on the 04-08 trucks.
