ball joint and tire question

ball joint and tire question

my truck squeks all the time i was told it is the ball joints, im abuot to lift my truck does a susoension lift replace the ball joints, and what size tire is a 395/70, can you fit 38's on a 6" suspension lift

My ball joints were replaced at about 60,000 miles. If you have more miles than that, they are probably shot. Lift kits do not include ball joints. I would do the lift and ball joints at the same time since the suspension will be disassembled. Also you cannot fit 38's with just a suspension lift. I've seen several people run 38x15.50 tires on 10 inch wide wheels by combining a 6 inch Fabtech lift and a 3 inch PA body lift.
Also, you will have to list the complete tire size (you left off rim size) for a conversion.

thanks and the rim size is 16 would an eight inch suspension work, also i took my truck to a shop this weekend and they said it was the sway bar bushings

A 395/70-16 would essentially be a 38x15.50-16 tire. I don't know of anyone that makes a 8 inch lift for our trucks. Bulletproof and Full Throttle make some huge lifts for our trucks so you may consider one of them, but they have sort of mixed reputations.
