i have a 3inch leveling kit and 33/13.5/18's which might as well be 35/12.5's as far as how much they weight and how much it takes to get them rolling heres a picture of the angles with a 3inch level even though you already decided on a 2.5..thought i'd show what every one is talking about...

the upper arm is definitely hurting if you look at the joint the shafts arent too bad but the 13.5's do rub on the lower arms and the coil's...

her you cant see the drive line but thats about where im sitting

ride changes...

what kind of ride (feel) changes are noticed with the 2-1/2" leveling kit?
just wondering if I were to install one on mine if it would reduce the bucking sensation I get from my truck...

Get the 2.5" leveling kit now, then save up for the 35's, you'll be alot happier in the long run.

ok, im new on the site and i have a 98 F150, Lariat, 4x4, stepside. I want to lift the truck real bad but dad seems to think it will ruin the ride quality and make parts go out faster than they're supposed to. What kind of lift, body or suspension? I don't wanna spend a 1000 dollars. Any ideas?

Well, if you don't want to spend $1,000, then that narrows down the choices.

A lift will change, but not always ruin, the ride quality. You could lift with adjustable shocks that provide a better ride than what you have now. Considering that your truck is 10 years old, new shocks can only help the ride.

But yes, certain lift components will cause parts to wear faster. Look at that picture of the 3" leveling kit. You can obviously see that he will have more wear than your stock suspension.

If its 4WD crank your keys until you get the desired hight in the front. but you'll need some longer shocks for a better ride.
