Lift Kit with Stock Tires

Hey all. Just replaced my 2001 Supercrew Lariat with a 2005 Supercrew Lariat. I have 265 60 18 tires on them now and was wondering if anyone had any pics of lifts (with #s) on the stock tires. This is a 2wd as well.

The reason I am asking about the stock tires is that I have no problem paying for gas (I bought a truck...d'uh). At the same time, I don't want to go massive tires and drop gas from my what I get now (around 16 in town and 20+ highway). I am VERY gentle on the acceleration. If you post pics of the tires that are not stock, let me know what your mpg went to after the changeover.

Thanks for everyone's help.

whats the point of lifting it , if your gunna keep the stock tires

come on whats a few mpg's, its worth the looks alone.

my mileage only decreased by 1-2 mpg, from stock 32inch tires to 35/12.5R20
Toyo Mts

i believe Rancho lets you use you stock wheels with their lift,
not sure if they do 2wd though

the reason for the stock tires, is that I don't want to drop the money right now for the tires and the lift kit. I can't put the tires on before the lift kit, but I can put the lift kit on before the tires. =)

I just don't know what size tires I want yet, so I need to do lots of research still. I don't want to go the route of "hmmm, what is he compensating for". I want the "mmhmmm, that looks good." Know what I mean?

for right now, do a 2" Autospring leveling kit. then when you have money for wheels, tires, lift do what ever lift you want. i would say do a cst 7" lift. i haven't seen anybody running the lift and you can get 9" of lift with the AS leveling you already would have. now if you dont want to go that much, fabtech 6" would be a good idea, or a pro comp.

idnc, did you decide if your lifting more?

yea, im to the point on my truck anything i want done, suspension wise, is going to cost an arm and a leg now, which it looks like the same for you.

i wanna run 37s but to do so i need, bilstein shocks (ditch the spacer), 2" AS, 4.88's, 37s but those aren't a big deal bc they wouldnt get put on til 35's were worn out. and i still want efans, underdrive pulleys so im thinking i might just quit on the truck because anything i want is easily 2500 in the bank and i dont have a job, but the most depressing part is i have the money for all of it but that would be a stupid waste of money right now.

mmcrorey, i can't think of anybody lifted with stock rims. only people you will find would be with rancho, but can't think of any. there is a f150 longbed screw around campus on stock 20's with fabtech 6". if i see it ill snap a photo for you.

is the reason behind not sticking with stock tires on a lift because it isn't possible, or is it because it just looks stupid?

here is one for you :

and, the ONLY reason i have this set up is because i had to send my aftermarket wheels in for a return..... i had to leave town for about 7 weeks, so it was a perfect time to do so. but, it is a 6" RCD lift with stock 17" wheels and tires.

hope this helps you.

im a big fan of stock wheels on lifted trucks but very few lifts allow you to keep oem wheels. rancho allows you to do so. only reason i didn't is because the 4" lift was more expensive than my 6"

Thanks you SOOO much. That is exactly what I was looking for. it doesn't look too bad and is a very decent lift.

Now, should I head over to wheels/tires to figure out the tires I "will" get? I am looking for street tires only. will never get offroad and don't want the load drone of the aggressive offroad tire.
