lift?
lift?
what do i need to do to make my 2wd 98 f150 sit like a 4x4? i was thinking after a leveling kit that i could a body lift? would that look bad? i just need some ground clearance. not for off roading.
what can i do?
what can i do?
The 97-03 4x4's sit about 3 inches higher than the 4x2's. If you can install it yourself, a 3 inch body lift is your cheapest lift. You can also use 3.5 inch lift spindles or 2 inch coilspring spacers. Personally, I'd combine them all and go with 35's.
i plan on doing exactly what wandell said and i plan on goin with a 35/12.5 tire
I put a 3 inch spindle/block kit on my 4x2. And I have a 3 body lift that I am going to put on as well. This to go with some 35 12.50 17 on FX4 rims. I think it will lift it up and look nice.

body lift wont give you effect ground clearance alone, but will allow you to clear a taller tire which can also lift you with tires....
cheapest would be lift coils, then spindles

the best suspension lift for a 2wd F150 97-03 is the Fabtech 7.5"
its not exactly cheap.
id go with a 3" body Lift, coilspring spacers, 3" lift spindles (if you are going for price)
if you arent going on price id go with the 7.5" fabtech and a 3" Body Lift with 37's and 4.88 gears
