I agree. The Fabtech stage 1 which uses your factory coil spring with a new Fabtech shock is far superior to the Pro Comp stage 1 kit.

Has anyone had problems with the Pro Comp kits? I talked to a guy who says that he does not like selling or installing them because so many of them just don't fit right out of the box.

don't let all them scare you away from the spacer. its not a big deal. you can always but a new set of front shocks that are 6" longer for the lift and ditch the spacer later down the road. and mass said his truck eats up pot holes and grated roads like nothing else, my truck with the spacer is the same way. my friend the other day asked how much i spend on the new shocks up front and he was shocked when i told them they were oem with a spacer stacked.

i am running a bds 6" lift btw. really good kit. i would choose it over pro comp due to warranty and the closeness of price. paid $2100 installed. but if you dont want a spacer get a fabtech like everyone said.

Yes we quit dealing with them. Some shops use them because you can't get a better price on the Pro Comp and more room to mark them up. But yeah we had the problem with two left knuckles, missing parts, and parts that don't fit.

I am not saying we don't see problems with others, but just not as many.

We primarily use BDS, but do alot of Fabtech, Skyjacker, Superlifts when need be.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing from installers about how they can get a better mark-up margin on Pro Comp. But it's not worth it to turn that extra little profit when things don't work out of the box. or when the customer returns and you have to do the warranty work on something that broke.

Yes and Yes

This is our website www.engineeredperformanceinc.com We had a guy build it back in Jan. and have not worked on the website much since. So some of it looks cheesy and some of the prices are outdated (some higher some lower). You can shoot us an email engineeredperfor@bellsouth.net with your zip code and we can get a price for what you need. We should be able to get you a sweet price on BDS or Fabtech.

definently will, but i need gears. and at the moment my dad wont let me spend money on the truck. and even when i was allowed gears he didn't want because truck is in warranty and what not. so if i can convince him, 4.88's will be going in and 2" of lift until i get around to a body lift (BDS ofcourse). i mean i haven't had any problems with my BDS so far, why change if they offer all the parts i want? i like the no questions asked warranty. i was on another website and a guy with a jeep broke something offroading, called BDS told them how he broke it, he had to pay like $20 for shipping and that was it for the new part. can't beat that.
