spindle lift question

ok well i want to give my 2wd truck a little lift when spring comes around

i was looking around and found a 3.5 fabtech lift from performancelifts.com

now 1. i dont know what rear block i should go with. they say 1.5 for about level but im not sure

and 2. how big of tires will that fit with just the spindle lift and rear block??
if i add a body lift too??

your about 2" lower than stock i believe.

so 3.5" will put you 1.5" ahead. and i think a coil spacer would able you to run 35's on a OEM wheel or a wheel close to oem specs. but 33's would look good as well.

as for a block i think the 1.5" block would be right if you only do the 3.5" on the front because of the factory rake which is about 1.5-2". if you did a coil spacer add the height added from the coilspacer onto a larger block. so if the coilspacer is 1" of lift then you would want a 2.5" block.

I had a similar problem. Lots of questions, no solid answers. Know what I did? I went straight to the manufacturer. What they don't answer on the website, can be cleared with a phone call. Fabtech will help you. You just have to call. You'll get real info on what you need to do, & on what you shouldn't do. I like that they were unbiased. When I asked for a recommendation on wheels to go with the lift kit, they said that they only recommended specs, not brands, and that I should stick with their specs no matter what brand any shop or installer tries to sell me.

If you go with just lift spindles, I'd go with 33's on an 8 inch wide wheel. If you add a body lift also, I'd go with 35's. While I had the front end apart installing spindles, I'd go ahead and install a set of 2 inch Daystar coilspring spacers and some adjustable camber bolts also (you may or may not need them to get the alignment correct with spacers). The reason I recommend 8 inch wide wheels is because all lift spindles will increase your front track width a couple of inches which will make 10 inch wheels hang way outside the wheelwells.

ok so are the stock wheels 8" wide wheels??
what is the metric size that is close to a 33"

and if install either the daystar spacers or a body lift i will be able to fit 35" right
would a 35 be to big for a stock wheel??

sorry for all the questions im still pretty new to the whole lifting thing

Your OEM wheels are either 16x7 or 17x7.5. A 285/75-16 and a 285/70-17 are essentially a 33x11.50 tire. A 305/70-16 and a 305/65-17 are 33x12.50's and a 315/75-16 and 315/70-17 are essentially 35x12.50 tires.
If you use only the lift spindles, you can fit 33's. If you combine the spindles with a body lift you can fit 35's. If you combine the lift spindles and the Daystar spacers you still need to stick with 33's. Personally, I'd combine all three and go with 35's.

X2

My 04 Heritage, I had a 3.5" spindle lift with a 1.5" coil spacer and 3" block out back. Ran 285/75/16 (33's). Height was perfect, and ride was great. 35's would have rubbed like no other.
