3" Body Lift in Illinois

So I have a 2005 DSG SCAB FX4. It has a 6" Fabtech, w/Dirt Logics Cranked and Camburg UCA.

I got a sweet deal on 37x14.5x18 Toyo Open Countrys that I couldnt pass up. I trimmed the front valance but these tires still rub like a bi*ch at full lock.

So, I found a PA 3" BL Kit for cheap....$90.

Now, heres the problem.....

#1. My mechanic wants 900 to install this kit.

#2. Will an extra 3 inches of body lift clear up the rubbing?

Does anyone know of a good place to have body lifts installed close to Joliet ,Illinois???

$900 seems a little high, mine was close to $1,000 parts + labor

I got a quote on a body lift once for $900 and that price included the kit, which is about $200 so say $700. You do have the new body style, which everyone says is harder...so I dunno, but you could possibly find a better deal.

A body lift should give you plenty of room.

look for smaller shops. if thats not where you already looked. EVEN 4wp has to be cheaper if they'll install a kit you didnt buy from them
