i'm new to the forum and i'm not sure how to do a search so please forgive me because i'm sure my answer is all over the place. anyway my question is i have an 05 4x4 with a 2" levelin kit and i need to know which shocks to get. i want to go with the bilsteins or equivelent quality just not sure as to what length they need to be. any help is appreciated.

 

if it was my truck, i would go with the bilsteins set at the 2 inch lift mark and toss the leveling kit you got now. welcome to the site

 

I agree. Go with the Bilstiens and sell the leveling kit.

hey i am also new to the site and just bought my truck. i was wondering the same thing but i wanna drop the rear 2". should i just go with shackles or is there a set of shocks out there that will improve my ride and give me the rear drop?

 

No, the rear uses a standard shock and leafspring not a coilover shock like the front. Go with a set of lowering shackles .

 

Thanks. are there replacement shocks that anyone would recomend with the shackles or or the stock shocks pretty good?

 

I'd go with Bilsteins.

 

stock shocks are fine going down 2" but if you have alot of miles on them it is time to replace them anyways
