Need Help Picking Shocks

I have a 2002 F150 Single Cab, 5.4 with the FX4 package (stock height). The truck just hit 60k and the ride is getting pretty harsh. I think its time to put some new shocks on but don't know which shocks to order.

I would like to use Rancho shocks like the stockers but I need to know what the part #'s are. When I search on different sites it comes up with multiple part #'s for the front and multiple #'s for the rear.

Basically I just want to make sure I order the correct shocks.

Thanks Erik

The OEM Rancho's are made by Rancho, but they are valved to Ford's specs. They are not the same as the aftermarket Rancho's. Any of the aftermarket Rancho's will be an improvement over your current shocks.

Okay so if I get the RS5000 series would RS5233 and RS5234 be the correct shocks? I just want to make sure I buy the correct ones, would hate to start the install and I found out I got the wrong ones.

I'm not sure of the part numbers on the RS5000.
Also, Ford doesn't want to pay what Rancho charges for their premium shocks so they have them make something cheaper.

Well you were correct I picked up some of the RS5000's and installed them today. They made a big difference in ride quality.

You were also correct about the stock rancho's, the had a Motorcraft stamp in the metal. Also the factory shock boots were not even boots at all they were solid plastic just for looks I guess. But I will admit the hardware that came on the factory shocks was way beefier than the hardware that came with the new ranchos.
