Stupid leveling question

So I bought a billet leveling kit recently and the manufacturer originally said it was a 2" kit. When I got the spacers i decided to measure them and it turned out they were 1.5". I emailed the manufacturer and they told me the spacers would actually level the truck and that were they to send me 2" spacers it would actually lift the front 3-3.5".

My question is two fold.

1) Does anybody know if the info I was given about a 1.5" spacer equaling out to be a 2"+ lift?

2) Isn't a stock 08 FX4 Screw 2.5" lower in the front and not 2"?

Thanks for the help!

I'm fairly certain the spacers are not the same height as the lift being obtained. As for the back to front...they vary. The best thing to do is measure your truck and go from there. I'll have a 2.5" for sale in a couple weeks if you want something bigger.

from what everybody says on the forum.
a 2" kit yields 2.5"
a 2 1/2" kit yields 3"
and you do not want a 3"

as first date said before, the spacer is not as big as the lift it yields

The thickness of the spacer does not equal actual lift...the spacer is a compounding component. Never heard of a 1.5 inch spacer, but if available it will definitely lift the front end 2 inches or greater.

OK well from what i hear the spacers are not going to be the same height as from what you think. therefor a 2inch leveling kit maybe only be like 1 5/8 inches or w.e but when it is installed it gives you that total of 2inches of lift up front..this was discussed if not mistaken in a thread a long time ago if you wanna search it.. a lot of ppl on this site dont go more than 2.5 leveling kit bc of the wear and stress it puts on your uca's and cv angles...

Sweet. That's good news. Iwanted to go with a 2" lift because I like the look of it still being ever so slightly sloped and absolutely hate the prerunner look of a a higher front end.

The kit I got is from source1manufacturing. It is extremely well crafted and I got it for $80 including shipping from Utah. I've seen crap aluminum pieces and this is by far not crap.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'll have pictures up soon hopefully. Soon as I find the time(aka stop procrastinating). It's not easy being lazy.......well.....yeah it really is.
