Body Lift & S&B Intake

I tried searching the forums for my answer to this question but my eyes got crossed in the process. Well I bought a S&B intake and installed it yesterday, now I realize I need a tune to go with it, prob gonna wait until my roush exhaust arrives buit thats another story.

The main thing is I was plannig on installing a 3" body lift later this year but it doesn't appear that the intake will work with it since it box mounts the the body of the truck. Has anyone on here modified theirs to work with the body lift? My main reason for going with the body lift was because I don't really do any off roading, just wanted the look and to save some cash.

I also found a set of wheels the other day and Im not to sure they would work with a body lift anyhow. I had my eye on some MB Motoring Gunner 6 20x8.5 wheels and ran across a set of 4 for $500 so I snagged em. I plan on running some 35" Toyo's MT's once I lift the truck.

Long story short - Can I still run the body lift or do I need to go with the suspension lift? I'd need to go with a 4" because I think the wife would complain too much about getting in and out of the truck with a 6" - and frankly its not worth listening to LOL.

I have an 01, so mine case might be diff. but mine worked with my BL. Your throttle body will be staying in the same place and your body will be moving up so all it will do is create a slight angle on the intake tube, on my truck the rubber seals bent slightly to not even notice it. i may have had to unbolt a bolt that held the intake tube level, but other than that everything was fine. Im sure someone else will reply with your year of truck though.

I figure all i would need to do is get a longer piece of tubing to connect the intake to the throttle body if I absolutly had to.
