Need Advice

How does this setup sound......
Add 5" RCD to 3" BL for 8 total inches.
325/80r16(37x13.5r16) Cooper Discoverer STT's
4.88 Front and Rear Gears

Input? Different tires? What about a steering stabalizer?

are you talking like coilovers? dropping the torsion bar base IFS, and a coilover IFS conversion?

No, just bilstein shocks. I dont think the Fabtech 6" is any bigger. A torsion crank makes the RCD a 6inch I believe.

A torsion crank also makes your CV angles suck.

I dont think it matters which lift you get. I dont think you are one to do any hardcore offroading so the Fabtech should be fine if you want to save money.

No Toyo MTs?

How much of a price difference is there between the Fabtech and RCD? I've got a 6" fabtech. I don't offroad too often, once or twice a month usually. When I do though, I play hard, and I haven't screwed anything up suspension wise.

the fabtech kit offers 6 in of lift w/o cranking the torsion bars at all, hence the 6 inch lift.

I do not off-road hard at all. Toyo MT's not available in 37x13.5r16. Fabtech and RCD are my two choices and whichever I pick, I will have a great kit.

You can get a 6" Fabtech for only about $100 more than the RCD kit. I have been looking around for best prices possible, because I am probably going to order a 6" Fabtech kit very very soon. I have heard that the RCD is a great kit too, but so many people run the Fabtech kits and love them that I decided against the RCD.

Check that out...I believe other members have ordered from them and it is the 6" fabtech kit they just don't blatently list it as one. That is probably the route I am going down soon. They also have what I believe is the 5" RCD for only $100 less.
