Picking a shock to replace new take-offs
Driving my 2008 4x4 Screw, what I miss most about the old 2001 4x4 Screw is the Rancho shocks. Just driving home on the same roads I can feel the back end hop sometimes. I want that confident feeling back that I had with an after market shock.
I think I would like to go with the Bilstein this time. I think this is what I need: F4-BE5-A934-H0 and F4-BE5-A935-H0. Is it that simple?
I'm happy with the hight of the truck as it is. I just want to replace what is on the truck same for same and sell the new take-offs on eBay. No lift, no drop.
I don't mind paying more for the 5100 series if I'll get a better ride and handling, but the web sites says that shock is designed for a lifted truck. Is my stock 4x4 a lifted truck? The salesman at Sears says I have a 2" lift. Is there a different number for the 5100 series? There is a nice zinc plated set on ebay:

What shock do I need, I'm not sure?
Can I put these on myself. Sears will put them on for $20 each.
