AS 3 inch rear block install problem

I just tried installing the autospring 3inch block on my 2006 4x4 and I couldn't get the ***** on the leaf spring to align up with the holes on top of the block. I jacked up the rear end like the instructions said but the block holes and leaf spring ***** never slid into place. It was about a 1/4 inch from going into place. I had to put the stock block back on and that went into place no problem. Anyone know how to get the taller block into place?

drill the holes out a little bit, is all I can think of, must just be a sloppy casting of the blocks.

Call AS

The blocks should be a drop in install. One thing you could do, if you have one of the factory blocks still out is to measure the distance between the posts or holes, I can't remember anymore, and see if it is the same. If it is then its the way you are installing the blocks. If not call AS and get replacements sent to you because someone screwed up. It may be something or nothing but before I would start grinding or drilling on anything I would check to see if it is going to change the position that the spring rests on the block/axel setup. You may be able to make it fit but are you changing the geometry of anything. For me it would be a no brainer to call AS and explain what is happening and get there advice on how to correct it.

x2
they should fit without having to modify. You may have gotten the wrong blocks....measure, call, verify...don't compromise!

I put the stock block back in. I will go ahead and measure the hole distance of the stock block and AS block. I emailed them last night no response yet. I would drill the holes bigger but I dont really want to modify somthing I just spent 120 bucks on. I'll give them a call on Monday and see if I need a replacement set. Thanks for the help.
