I see trucks driving around that are far higher than any F150 should be....i dont think there is a bumper limit anyways.

I wouldn't worry about it. Call your local PD if you really want to know.

My brother has a silverado on some PJ's 38s with a 13ich lift. It has the bigger lifted look than all the normal lifted trucks do. He has had about 5 CHP's grab the tape measure and check his headlight height. I haven't heard him say anything about the bumper height.

o well yea thats probably what they care about the most, because they don't want you having your lights in people rear views hahaha. but i just don't want to have any issues with the cops. its kinda a dead subject to me now anyway, im going to order my rize tomorrow.

Things you should be worried about as you pass your friendly law enforcement officer:

Headlight Height - Must be between 22" and 54" in height.
Bumper Height - No restrictions. You must have them installed though.
Exhaust Height - If exiting to the side, must be 24" or less
Mudflaps and Fenders - Must extend or cover all of the tire
Frame Height - Up to 4,500 pounds GVWR - 27 inches
4,501 to 7,500 pounds GVWR - 30 inches
7,501 to 10,000 pounds GVWR - 31 inches

California Vehicle Code

wow, no more than 6" over OEM height here. i am highly disappointed but apparently no one is too strict about it.

No height requirement/restriction on bumpers. passenger cars are required to have two. Pickups don't fall into that same catagory but are required to have the front. There are lowering restrictions for vehicles in that no portion of the vehicle can sit below the bottom of the rim (while driving) Headlights are generally the biggest restrictor on lifted trucks but still 4.5 feet height for a headlight (measured from the center of the light to the ground) is pretty far up there.

Like someone else said, most cops generally don't care as long as it isn't hazardous.

Mudflaps if the tires extend beyond the fender.
