Lift Problem

Lift Problem

ok well the shop putting on my lift called me last night and said they had run into a problem. i am not to familiar with this stuff so bare with me. he said that while tearing down the front end the abs line was seized up. i am guessing the bolt the screws into the hub? the truck is a 2004 2wd f150. anyone run into this problem while installing this. if so any tricks or if we have to replace and tricks there.

help!

Sounds like they broke it and want you to pay for it. Better go check it out for yourself.

Had no issues when my lift was installed. I'd also say the shop probably broke it themselves and are now trying to say it existed all along. If you've got a mechanically inclined buddy I'd take him along and go check it out.

is the ABS line made of plastic? im almost positive mine is. how can you break it, its held in by 1 bolt, just pull it out

its plastic. you can break it easily. one possible way is that they forgot to disconnect it when they unbolted the spindle. as the guy was pulling the spindle away from the truck the plastic line snapped. or it didnt snap then but the line held and pulled the spindle from the mechanics hand and he dropped the spindle ripping the plastic line. other ways are possible thats just two

i guess if your not careful, i was just super careful taking it out and making sure it was out of the way, i hear they are quite pricey, but you know how people dont care when its not theirs.
