u-bolt replacement

I recently tried to install some rear blocks only to find out that the new ubolts were messed up. I put the original stuff back on till I get the ubolts replaced. Is there a specific method to putting the lower plates and nuts on the u-bolts? Like a tightening pattern? What are the torque specs on those nuts? Also, as long as the guide pins lined up in the springs I am good right? I just want to make sure.
