Question Noob ? : How to measure my lift

Hiyas all,
I just bought a truck that had been lifted, and want to know how to measure the lift. I suspect it is 6" (running 35x12.5xr20 Toyo MT's), but want to verify. Please keep in mind, I am mechanically declined, so no tech talk

Thanks,
Jeff

What year? 4x4?

Post some pics of it. I'm sure someone can tell you what it is.

2007 Supercrew, short bed, 4x4. Working on pics, but it keeps raining and getting it all dirty again! Scouting the Fabtech site, but can't match anything up yet.

Thanks for the help.

Jeff

look up under the front of the truck, do you see any obvious brand names on the crossmember (big hunk of metal on the under the front center of the truck)?

If you post specs on the vehicle, like year, body style, etc and pictures, we'll be able to tell you in about a second.

The Crossmember has a Fabtech plate on it. I'll get you all some more detail and xome PICS as soon as I can.

Thanks!

Yup. If it says Fabtech, you've got the Fabtech Super-Performance 12" kit.

Geeez take it easy on the noob! I knew it was a Fabtech lift, just wanted to know how to measure it. Anyways..

2007 Supercrew F150
20" Rims
35x12.5 Toyo Open Country M/T
Fabtech 6" (?) Coil Over lift w/o the Dirt Logic upgrade
Rear Leveling Blocks (Haven't measured them yet.)

Pics of BIG Red II

I suspect it is measured from the Bottom bolt to the top bolt on the front crossmember, but want to make sure.

Thanks,

Jeff

Fabtech 6" is the only fabtech lift (i think) for the 04+ F150's. However with the coilovers you can crank them to get an extra couple of inches!

It kinda hard to measure a lift, usually you would measure the lift from the middle of the fender well then measure there after you lift it and before you put on the tires.

The kits is a 6" Lift but it can be adjusted to 7-8 just by cranking them coilovers! Hope that helps

yes it does need a bath. It's been raining for about 10 days now, and I live out on a country dirt road. But I am off for the next 7 days, and my girl will be learning how to help me detail it out.

Thanks Trimble, I'll have to take a closer look at the coilovers to see if they are cranked up.
