Arrow solid axle swap?

Hey ive got a 1995 f150 4x4 with a 4inch suspension, and a 3inch body lift. It has an independent dana 44 front, and a buddy of mine just bought a 1977 f150 parts truck. i need the 8.8 rear end out of it to replace the 8.8 rear end in my 95. i was wondering if anyone has done a swing front end to a solid front end swap in this year truck, and what kind of work it entails. i know that the 95 has a crumple zone in the front which is pretty much the only difference i noticed, i havent taken any measurements yet, but by the looks of it i probably could make something work. all i use the truck for now is off roading and i probably wont ever take it over 60mph. i took the e4OD out and put a 4speed in it, so ive done some customizing already. I was just wondering if anyone has done a similar swap and if anyones got any advice. i would greatly appreciate your input,
Thanks, Baret

The only swap I have seen on this board is with a new body style.

First off, the rear from the 77 is not an 8.8.

Second, the SAS for the pre-97 trucks is not the hard. You already have the donor axle covered. Go over to www.fullsizebronco.com and read through the SAS section. Lots of good info.
