Changing leaf springs... need help.

I searched but didn't locate anything. I recently purchased a set of Hotchkis leaf springs for my 2002 Gen 2 Lightning.

Does anybody know of a "How to" for changing the rear leaf springs?

I'm sure it's not that hard. I just prefer knowing what to expect before I begin rather than making my way through the job blindly. Tools needed, sizes of sockets...that sort of thing.

Thanks,

Roach

I put jack stands on the frame just past the shackles on the cab side. Raise the stands high enough so that the leafs hang fully extended. After the stands are set put the floor jack under the center chunk to support it and take the load off the springs so that you can unbolt them at the axle housing first [ Don't roll the jack because the brake lines will be still attached]. Next lower the chunk and then unbolt the rear spring perch and then the front on each side. Assemble in reverse order.
