6" + 35s is a tried and true method for pretty much all trucks (4x4 and 4x2)

Pro COmp and Fabtech both make lifts for your 4x2.

Lift and lowered are both cool! Just as long as it's not stock.

Mine's a lifted 2WD. I have the basic Fabtech lift and 35x12.50's on it and am very happy with it. The ride is comparable to stock, just a little more stiff. Make sure you add a 5" block to the rear otherwise you'll be sagging.

Do a 6". you`ll be happier, If you do a smaller lift you`ll want to go bigger.

Consider this: lift kit & installation + rims & tires = $4,000

For that kind of money, you could add all the performance mods on the market and your truck would run better. As opposed to killing your gas mileage with those huge wheels & tires.

The body lifts are kinda expensive, plus they are a pain to install on the 04-08's. If you have to pay someone to install a body lift, you will have almost as much money invested as you would in a 6 inch Pro COmp lift.
