Dealer Install Level Kit?

Should I let the dealer install my leveling kit?
They have a couple of new trucks on the lot that already have them on.
They install lift kits, they have new lifted trucks on the lot. Im assuming they are a mod friendly dealer.

If I dont let them do it...Something wears out, breaks, whatever. Id either have to uninstall or fess up to "yeah its on there" and they could use it against me since they didnt do the work.

If I let them install and something wears out, breaks, or whatever. I could say hey your certified mech installed it, your problem.

It's a good thought, unfortunately the most common problem that will arise will be premature ball joint wear. That is a wear item and my guess not covered under warranty whether the dealer installs it or not. Always check with the dealer first if the vehicle is under warranty before doing mods if you are concerned about a voided warranty.

May be worth it, price will probably be up around 300 to 400 buck's. Make them check alignment afterward's with the tires and wheel's you'll be running.

Maybe not cause I got a quote from them to install a kit that had a spacer plus a preload spacer. They quoted me 435.00 which included the kit but he had labor separated out at 293.00. Which included the alignment.
So Im thinking it will be less.

On another note...Will I need the headlights adjusted also

I went to my local dealer and they installed it for 150 flat. That is level kit only. I already had lifetime allign at my local firestone so it took it there to be alligned. I would personally do it at the dealer becasue they know what the heck their doing and you wont be afraid of them stripping your car or other damage while your truck is in their hands.

Why don't you just ask the dealer about warranty provisions. In the warranty booklet that should have came with your new truck, there is a paragraph about your warranty not being honored if wear and/or damage is the result of an aftermarket accessory. Lift kits are specifically mentioned. However, the dealer or any other shop, is suppose to warranty their parts and labor for 1 year.

Put a 2.5" kit on mine sat. afternoon and have to say it was pretty easy. Only took an hour w/ me doing one side and my buddy doing the other side. He is a mech at a local shop, so will do alignment tommorrow for free. Cost altogether was $80 for the kit

You probably should adjust the headlights. After my buddy and I were done with mine, I followed behind him (he's in an escalade) and he said my headlights were pretty obnoxious after the leveling kit, so we're going to do that with the alignment tommorrow.

Well, when I bought my FX4 new, my dealer installed mine. Charged me $180 for it. I just wanted it done right then. Anyway, I've been happy with it and it's 2 years later now and no issues at all. The one benefit I see is, if they mess up a boot, they can replace it. Anyway, my Service guy and dealer are mod friendly and a great place to deal with!

Im taking my truck in for service on wednesday so Im gonna get the low down on installing the AS. Like I said its gotta be alot cheaper than the quote they gave me for doing one with the Spacer and a preload spacer.

Problem is I want to get it installed, but ive yet to get my wheels/tires picked out and I was wanting to get them on before getting a alignment done. Or do you think I would be ok getting it done with the alignment before adding the wheels/tires.

Anybody?? Going tomorrow AM, wondering if I should take my kit along to see if they could put it on if they had time. My concern is to whether to wait for my new tires/wheels before having it installed, on the other hand ill be putting my stockers back on for the winter when it gets here. So not really sure if its really going to matter.
