FYI its not the lift thats giving you the bad MPG, its tires. What size tires are you running. 38's?

Id recomend gears, 4.88's to be exact

A tuner, CAI, exhaust, and E-fans would be nice too. But you wont ever save gas in that thing.

stock tires. With a 12" lift and (35"+ I am assuming) large tires your basically screwed.

I'm running 38's toyo's. I know it will never be great on gas, accepted that fact the day I got my lift. I'm just looking for anyone who has a bigger lift and what type of gas mileage they are getting for comparison purposes. As I mentioned mine does not have a programmer yet and it averages 7-8 on the digital display, which I'm sure is not accurate. What are you getting for gas mileage?

HAHA my v6 with just 33's is getting anywhere between 11-19 depending how i drive it.

If you havent got gears yet make that your next project, kinda pricey but your drivetrain will love you for it!

I plan on gears when i get my tires but dont have the money for it right now!

There is alot of things you can do. Best thing is new gears, then id get a tuner, and different exhaust, air filter, ect ect...
gears will help the most though, if you never put your truck in 4wd and you dont have enough for fron and rear gears, you could buy the rear gears first which will be around $600 or so. You cant put it in 4wd when like this though or it will tear up somethin(dont know what, just know it will haha) so you migh just wanna wait till you can afford front and rear which is gunna be about $1500.

re-gear

get custom tunes. Ask for an "economy" tune.

Let off the gas... try driving 55-60 MPH MAX !
