torsion bars

i have recently just put air bags n the rear of my truck now im wondering if i turn up my torsions bars to lift it a bit in the front f it will hurt anything?. Anybody else turned up there torsion bars? thanks

search torsion bar in the forum and youll find lots of info.

the general consensus is to crank the torsion bars so no more than 2" of lift is acheived. i agree with this since the "lift" puts stress on front end components. dont be worried though. many people have done this, including me, and have had no problems.

go ahead and do it. i think youll like the result.

I agree. Just crank them enough to level the truck. Don't forget to get an alignment.

so how many turns would i have too turn the bolts in then? i have a 1998 f150 4x4

Every truck is adjusted differently so it's impossible to give an exact answer.

alright i ll give it a try because my truck looks stupid, jacked up in the back from the air bags and stock height in the front lol
