Question Front end differences

Just recently my 07 F150,XL,regular cab,4.2V6, was in the dealer for warranty work.I was given an 08 F150,XLT,Crew Cab,4.6,with only 15 miles on it.Anyway,I noticed this XLT drove and handled 10 times better then my XL,which I thought drove and handled pretty well too! My q? is,are the front suspensions the same on both of these trucks or is the XLT better?

If the truck's are both 4x2's the front end's are the same. The crew cab is a little heavier and with a V-8 and maybe a longer wheelbase with possibly a little larger tires it should ride and handle a little better than a lighter truck. Just my 2 cent's.

I agree. Plus it probably had better tires.

And your shocks could be worn. And the other truck may have had a better wheel alignment.

But tires were probably the biggest factor.

My shocks are worn with 17k miles on them?
My trucks alignment was checked at my 12k mile oil change.
The 08 did have Michelins on it.

Yup they probably are. From what I've experienced in 90 percent of most vehicles is that the stock shocks should go in the garbage at around 10k miles.
