Why level???

I'm new to the forums and just started realizing how many people put leveling kits on their trucks. Is there any benefits to leveling other than looks? Does it affect your load carrying or towing abilities?

Think I'm going to shop around and see what a kit would cost...installed. As long as it doesn't affect my towing or carrying, I think I want one.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

It's all about the look, IMO...

Right, most people just prefer their trucks to sit level. This goes for the lifted and lowered crowd.

Anybody know if it affects towing capacity? I'm about to purchase a 10,000 pound travel trailer.

thats a little too large of a trailer for a f150 to tow safely. But it shouldnt affect it any. Especially if you add the add a leaf to the back.

It gets rid of the stink bug look, so it levels out the truck. It looks much better and you can also fit bigger tires. It doesn't effect your load carrying or towing abilities. I'd recommend going with the 2" Autospring kit.

I'd also highly suggest trying to install it yourself if you've got some decent tools and are some-what capable with them. It's not hard. Most shops are going to rape you on the price of the kit and the installation. The Autospring kit mounts to the top of the coilover so you don't have to have a set of spring compressors so it makes installation a lot easier.

Where can I get that kit online? Thanks for the input.

I thought about that and agree. I looked at another model today that is closer to 7500 GVWR. Has just as much space and is a little bit nicer. Can't wait though. Love me some camping.

I had to level my truck because it looked like a raccoon with the factory rake. Also gives me room to clear larger tires. Leveled it out almost 3 yrs. ago and have had no problem's.
