front end noise

not sure if this is the right form...but i have a noise coming from the front end of my 2000 f150 5.4 4x4...it sounds like a wheel bearing or some kind of a bearing humming and vibrating..its gotten a lot worse because i have been going mudding kinda hard core lately...i have never had a front end of a 4x4 apart...what kinda bearings are in the front end??what ones are most likely to go out??i have 122,500 mile on it also... any help

thanks
matt

the wheel bearings in the front are easy to replace they should be an entire assembly. they are just really expensive, i have a 2002 and the list price is 480.00$ apiece.
