My front suspension has a horrible squeak to it. Anytime I hit a bump it squeaks really loudly. Its really embarassing pulling up somewhere where there is a crowd. I dont know what it is. Im thinking its the shocks. but have been told its a bushing of some sort?

 

shocks bushings or ball joints probably, start with the cheapest fix and work up

 

mine does it too.i was told it was the lower ball joints

 

i just had the same problem and it was my lower ball joints..if you have a stethoscope lay under and you will be able to tell exactly where its coming from

 

+3 for ball joints. Replace them and you'll be set. If they are original in your '98 then you might as well do the uppers at the same time.
