2004 F-150 96,000 mi. situation just started. turning steering wheel hard and even harder to pull it back to the 12 o' clock position . one day it would steer normal and a couple of days later back to hard turning. this happened a few times. Checked fluid, full no leaks and color is good and clean. can I assume this is a steering rack problem. Thanks

 

possibly the pump also.
