Well, I think it had a lot to do with the conditions of where I live. I live in Pennsylvania where the salt and acid rain get to it, it's hard to find an older vehicle around here without rust. It might also have to do with how often I have it in the woods. I also had to replace the leaf spring mounts in the rear. When I talked to the guy at the junk yard he said that is a common thing to go on these trucks.
