AS AAL load carrying question

Alright so the AS AAL says you get a additional 950 pounds load carrying out of the add a leaf.

So the question is if im towing something and I get pulled over and the officer knows what the weight capacity of the truck is or checks the door sticker.
Then says im over, and I say wait ive got a add a leaf I can tow 950 more pounds than what the door sticker says......

Will it matter since the door sticker says im only good for x-amount?

Dont know if I will be going over this amount but thought crossed my mind.

That claim is misleading.

There are many other factors that will determine what you can safely tow or haul, including the weight rating on your tires, axles, hitch, etc. What Autospring should state is that adding the leaf will allow you to carry more weight with out the sag of factory springs, but that you should ckeck on other items to determine what you can safely carry.

If you are over gross and an officer knows it, no AAL in the world will save you. PLay it safe and stay within your weight ratings.
