Question Opinion on Lifting Flareside Truck..

Hey Everybody.
This is my first "Thread" so bare with me...
I own a 2004 F150 Flareside Fx4 and Ive been thinking lately to lift it 4 inches or so. I was wondering if you guys would have any advice or even pictures of flaresides that are lifted...
I don't know much about lifts or how much they generally cost...
Hope someone can help me out!
Thanks for reading.

-Amanda

normally any truck looks good lifted if you put the right size tires on it. Personally i would with a suspension lift they look alot cleaner but are most costly. I had a 2002 ranger flare side and put a 3inch fab tech suspension lift with 33's and got all kinds of compliments!

Welcome.

Any Ford truck looks good lifted. It dependes on how much you want to spend.

1. Find the suspension kit you like.
2. Find the tires you like.
3. Find the rims you like.
4. You're good to go.

"Post" a picture of your truck.

A 4" lift will cost you around $1500. I believe Rancho makes a 4" kit. If you do a search you should be able find more info on that lift. Install will cost you about $500-800. New rims and tires will cost you another $1200-2000 depending on how big and what style wheels and tires you want. I would budget at least $3500-4000 for everything.

First off welcome to the site.

I agree with the other guys that a suspension lift would be alot better especially since you have a 4x4 anyway. It does cost more but in the end it's worth the money. I have an FX4 SC Flareside here's a couple pics.....

Welcome to the site.
I personally think a 6" suspension lift with 35" tires looks good. There are some pics in my gallery (click on the little camera in the top right corner of my post). I would just look around in peoples gallerys and find one that you like and find out what their set up is. It was about 4000 for the lift, wheels, and tires to give you an idea of what it would cost for a 6" suspension with 35" tires.

I'd go with a 6 inch Fabtech or Rize lift with some 35's on 18's or 20's.

4" and 35's, stuffed look. You can fit 35's with just a 2" level kit, so go 4" and 35's IMO

Thank you I think a 4" with 33" would look good. If your willing to spend a little more though I think 6" and 35" looks really good. I didnt really price out 4" and 33" but from what i have read on here i dont think it is too much more for the 6" and 35" though.
