Question 2" Levelling Springs... '97, 2wd F150

Hi guys,

My name's Mike and I just bought 2" levelling springs for my younger brothers 1997, 2wd F150. I've done a suspension lift on my F250, but never on a truck with coil springs so I don't know what to expect... Anyone do a levelling spring install and have any tips on the procedure? Also, do we need a spring compression tool or can we just jack the truck up from the frame, let the spring extend and then just un-clip and pull them out? Thanks for your time and insight!

Welcome to the site!
I'm not positive, but I think that you can install them that way. Also, you may want to install a set of adjustable camber bolts. Some trucks need them with 2 inches of lift to get the alignment correct, some don't.

Thanks... I'll probably pick up as set of the adjustable camber bolts just in case. I was thinking about it and I really don't see why we can't pull the springs out the way I described. Thanks for the reply Wandell!
