2 1/2" or 3"

I have seen in other forums that in order for a 2wd to be level without towing anything i need to add a 3" leveling kit. Is this true or should i just go for the 2 1/2" AS kit? If a 3" is better which kit is the best?

Thanks

I would not go with a 3 inch kit because of the extreme ball joint angles. As for level, I think most 4x2's come out level with just a 2 inch kit.

So, on ebay I saw that the AS is avaiable to have a powder-coating on it. What does that mean? And also, I'm a physics/math/common sense guy, so how does 2 1" spacers and a few bolts make a truck rise 2.5" and level it? Just curious... Thanks

Not sure how to answer your math question, but as far powder coating go's, if you live in an area that has severe weather like we have up here in the northeast (snow, cold temp's, salty roads, salty air from the ocean, etc) it'll help protect the metal and keep it from rusting.
