Question Drop Shackles

I want to install 2" drop shackles to level my truck. Will this in any way effect the warranty? I have heard that the drive shaft angle changes and shock shims need to be added to offset the change. Any knowledge on this would be greatly aprreciated. Thank You.

Get the Ground Force 2" kit. It comes with the wedges that are needed to return the drive shaft and rear end pumkin to correct angles. I have had it on mine for about 45,000 miles with no problems.

only warranty it could affect is anything it directly effects, so your leafs, axle, and driveshaft *could* be out of warranty.

yes the pinion angle shims are recommended, but many do not use them.

you roughly need 1* shim for every inch that you drop, so 2" shackles is a 2* shim

let me know if you need me to clear anything else up for you

Thanks Patman will have to contact dealer on warranty issues. If dealer installs the lowering kit that shouldnt void warranty.

I installed these on a friends 06 F150, and it works great. I didn't put the shims in..... I dont like the way they fit. They dont seem very solid.

Just my thoughts. And his truck drives fine......
