Autosping question??

Hey guys,

I searched the forum to no avail, but I was wondering if I put a 2' leveling kit on the front of the truck, and the auto spring 2" add-a-leaf's in the rear and take out the blocks, will the truck sit about level? I would like the truck not to sag as much while towing, especially if its leveled out.

If you go with the 2" kit. You will still have a very slight rake so that when/if you tow, it should sit level. I would just go with the 2" kit alone and you should be fine.

From what I understand they also have a 1-1/2 kit, if you go that route you probably wouldnt have to worry about the AAL and the blocks.

It all depends on what your towing. If its pretty heavy, then i'd go with the add-a-leaf and remove the rear block.

What is your goal? Are you just trying to level the truck, or are you trying to get maximum lift & level.

The AAL is going to give you about 2" of lift. If you want level, and don't tow a lot of heavy loads I would just put in a 2" Autospring. I put in a 2" and my 07 was perfectly level. If I had anything in the back or sitting on any kind of incline the rear would sag. This is the image it had when I was accelerating as well from what I was told. I hate that look, so I went with the skyjacker AAL. I got some rake back, but not as bad as factory.

To me it doesn't make since to put in a AAL and then take out the factory block. All your doing is taking away a softer ride.

Sometimes I tow a little, sometimes I tow a lot, and I hate the sag you get from towing/hauling. Maybe I should go with a 2" front and the ride-rite kit in the rear? I'm going to go with a 33" tire so I don't really have a need to go overboard on the front leveling kit.

Josh,

Did you measure what the diff is between your front and rear. Just park on level ground, take a tape measure and measure from the ground past the center of the wheel, up to the bottom of the lip of the wheel well.

Also your truck will measure out differently if it is full of gas or not. When measuring mine I also found out it measures differently when parked in different locations even though its on level ground.
